I had a SD card that haunted me for a long time until I pinpointed it. I am more than positive it was a user problem not a card problem after reading this. You might want to pay attention.
Do Not Do These Things:
- Remove a card from the camera before it has finished writing the image
- Turn the camera off before it has finished writing the image
- Remove the batteries before the image is finished writing to the card
- Allow your batteries to die before an image is finished writing to the card
- Remove the card from a card reader while images are transferring to your computer
- Remove the card from a card reader while image files are open on your computer
- Use a computer to format the card instead of your camera
- Delete pictures while your card is still in your camera
- Use the card when batteries are about to die
- Overload the card with too many shots per second
- Repeatedly shoot a picture then delete in-camera. Shoot, delete. Shoot, delete…
- Use the same card in different cameras before formatting it.
